Evaluation of the use of the collections

In order to improve the services to the public, it is essential to evaluate how they use the collections. In a library with free access that does not loan out the collections, this evaluation requires setting up a specific system.

Thus, since 2001, at regular intervals, generally once a year, the Bpi organises “test-weeks” during which the consultations are recorded and processed by computer. The data collected are then analysed statistically.
